Under a new agreement, Bachmus will sell, market, and distribute Caltex fuels in the African country.

Last update:

Chevron Brands International has entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Bachmus Oil and Fuel Supplies, bringing the Caltex brand back to Namibia's fuel retail market.

Under this agreement, Bachmus will sell, market, and distribute Caltex fuels, with plans to expand the network of Caltex-branded service stations across the country. The Caltex brand is set to strengthen its presence in Namibia through this collaboration.

This move marks Chevron's growing investment in Namibia, following its re-entry into the country’s oil and gas upstream sector in 2022. Chevron operates the PEL 90, an offshore deepwater block in the Orange Basin, and recently acquired an 80% operating interest in offshore block PEL 82 in the Walvis Basin.

Danielle Lincoln, Vice President of Chevron International Products, highlighted the significance of Chevron’s return to Namibia’s retail market. She emphasized the company’s commitment to building the Caltex brand with the support of Bachmus, aiming to provide quality and reliable energy to motorists across Namibia.
